A Historic Vineyard<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The vineyard was created in the 19th century, and became part of the Cassat-Coutant family in 1920. In 2012 Agn\u00e8s Coutant took over the family property with the help of her son Paul (4th Generation).<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

An Execptional Soil<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The vineyard is located in the small village of Saint-Etienne de Lisse in the Saint-Emilion appellation. The fifteen hectares at the edge of the hillside constitute the clay-limestone soil of our wines.<\/p>

The wines are composed mainly of Merlot but also Cabernet Franc.<\/p>

Our very clayey soil is ideal for growing Merlot, which is why we also have a 100% Merlot wine.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Medical doctor by training Agn\u00e8s attaches great importance to the preservation of
the environment and biodiversity. It is therefore as soon as it arrives in 2012 that we decide to work our soils mechanically with the addition of organic amendments and the removal of chemical herbicides and insecticides.<\/p>
